Australian Government Department of Communication and the Arts
Uniting through connection and expression
Bringing to life a Reconciliation Action Plan, so it aptly captures the organisation’s reconciliation commitment beyond the sentiment of an artwork, is always both a privilege and a responsibility.
Earlier this year Carbon Creative had the pleasure of working with the Australian Government Department of Communication and Arts to create their reconciliation vision through the design, layout and print of their 2018 – 2019 RAP. Carbon commissioned, talented Noongar artist, Bradley Kickett, to create an artwork that represented the Department’s reconciliation themes — connection and expression. His work, Connecting for Reconciliation is an aerial representation of the journey — past, present and future — of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people together with other cultures across land, sea and sky. From artwork, to contemporary design, layout and print, the Department’s RAP vision was beautifully and respectfully materialised.
