Transforming a report into a living, shareable manifesto
Designing and laying out reports are often on the bottom of the creative’s wish list. Grey literature. Look away! No so, the brief for Australia’s first Voluntary National Review on its progress against the Sustainable Development Goals to the United Nations.
An aspirational piece, to be distributed internationally, the brief presented a unique opportunity to showcase our nation’s seventeen sustainability development goals, from eradicating absolute poverty to cementing global partnerships. In other words, a report that demanded a respectful, meaningful response so as to do its content justice.
Carbon Creative commissioned gifted Wiradjuri artist, Jordana Angus to create seventeen unique artworks, each one representing a sustainability development goal. Symbolising goal implementation, the artworks were then incorporated into the design and layout. Transforming a report into it a living, shareable manifesto for Australia and the world.
